Portuguese U19 champion with Casa Pia, Lucca Ayala (19) officially joined RSC Habay this Monday. Two weeks after Hugo Lamock, a second XproElite player is heading to the Nationale 1.

On Monday 31 August 2026, RSC Habay officially announced the arrival of Lucca Ayala. L’Avenir reported it that same evening: having arrived only a few hours earlier, the young striker was already due to take part in his first training session with the squad. No time to unpack, straight onto the pitch.

A goalscorer trained in Portugal

Lucca spent much of his youth career at Casa Pia, a Portuguese top-flight club, with spells at Sacavenense and Oriental along the way. Back at Casa Pia in 2025/26, he enjoyed a full season with the U19s: 14 goals in 27 matches and, at the end of it, the Portuguese title in that age group (II Divisão). According to L’Avenir, he had most recently been playing with Académico de Viseu’s U23 squad.

The missing piece up front

During pre-season, the team’s attacking output was a slight concern for Samuel Petit and his staff. Lucca’s arrival answers that need directly: a centre-forward who knows where the goal is, who can also play on the left wing, and who has got used to winning.

A striker used to winning, in a team that wants to score more.

Two weeks after Hugo Lamock, Lucca is the second player we represent to join Habay this summer. A left-footed defender at the back, a goalscorer up front: the club is betting on youth, and we are proud to be part of it. For Lucca, it is a first senior adventure in Belgium, in a demanding league where a young striker can quickly make a name for himself.
